I came across something I wrote during Masturbation Awareness Month in 2021.
I’m so grateful I’ve come so far!
There is a challenge for you at the end, should you choose to accept it.
My Journey Toward Body Acceptance
Self-pleasure, making love to your most hated body part, and masturbating post breast explant.
My six month surgiversary had just passed when I originally wrote this. I had my implants removed on November 16, 2020. One of the most significant areas of impact has been my sex life. My boobs used to be one of the main focuses. Now, I often don’t even uncover them because sometimes they are distracting to me during partner sex.
Solo sex has been very interesting, though. My breasts are tender, numb in some ways and oversensitive in others. I can be playing with a nipple, and the line that crosses from pleasure to pain is so thin that it is easy to cross accidentally.
Learning to Love My Body
My most hated body part used to be my belly. It was too big, too fat. I learned to love my stomach over the years. I found that it wasn’t so important that it was flat. What was more important was how things felt.
This is how I developed my philosophy that it matters much more how sex feels than how it looks. Even with that philosophy, I wanted bigger boobs.
I love big breasts. In 2013, when I was on the rebound from my first polyamorous relationship breakup, my best friend and I decided to stop into a plastic surgeon’s office on a whim.
I decided to get them because I was so enamored of large breasts. I wanted to do something to boost my self-esteem and make myself feel better. And it did work.
Unfortunately, it was a false source of self-esteem. As I’ve been moving through the world these past six months without my security boobs, I’ve realized how much of my identity was wrapped up in having large breasts.
Learning where my boobs end and where I begin has definitely been an adventure.
How Self-Pleasure Helped Me Accept My Body
Feeling my breasts and incorporating them in my masturbation sessions has been key to accepting myself as I am now.
One of my most powerful self-pleasure sessions was when I had music playing and candles lit. I got some coconut oil and danced in front of the mirror, sensually rubbing it all over my body.
I realized that night that I was beautiful even with all my scars and imperfections.
Body Acceptance Exercises: My Challenge to You
My challenge to you, if you choose to accept it, is to make love with your most hated body part in honor of Masturbation Awareness Month. Of course, you can try this practice anytime!
Whether that’s your belly or your feet or whatever, as you are pleasuring your genitals, keep bringing your attention back to the hated body part.
Especially as you are nearing climax, bring the love and the energy and the pleasure to the part you usually hate the most.
You may find there is a thread of love underneath, that there is energy locked up in that hate. This is a fast way to release it.
See if you can feel it moving through your body. See if you can move your body to music during your session and feel energy move that way as well.
If you do this, I would love to hear about it! Feel free to reach out privately and share your experience with me.
